A little deer hunting

We did however get out November 11,12,13
Looking for muskies,  caught a number of good pike on jerk baits and also were still seeing fish on the shoreline as far as muskie go.  We did get a couple good ones trolling, looks like we may done for the year.

Leech Lake Guide service report 11/2/11
Been fishing 5 straight days for muskies, action has small windows but big payoffs. Catching fish every day. Biggest fish seen below from client Bill Carlson with a 52"x25" hawg calculated with the fish formula at 46lbs.!  Lots of pike Tuesday on jerkbaits with a 36" the biggest. Saw 9 muskies no takers, but there is movement out there! Fishing should remain good if you can get out and not freeze!

I  even managed to get a shot and get a 51" sow with a real girth on it. thanks for the net Dean!  Had a great time!  Walleyes were going good friday with many in the range as seen below if you wanted to fish for them.

Leech Lake Guide Service report 10/11/11
Walleyes are wild, monday we caught over 60 in an afternoon! Yesterday was a little slower but many more big fish! perch remain very good we kept 53 yesterday with perch up to 12".  Hopefully fish stay on the shorelines. Best depth was 4-7 feet jig and minnow was all we used. Very simple fishing! Leech is hot right now! Here is Bill Jensen with a 25.5 release!

Leech Lake Guide Service report 10/3/11
Perch remain  very good with hundreds biting! walleyes are spotty even with the good winds we had. Some fish on rigs and redtails and also jigging still is a good method.  Crappies remain strong as well with the best bite at dark.  Here is Dave G. with a nice 12" leech lake perch!

Leech Lake Guide Service report 9/29/11
Perch continue to be wild with many many nice fish out there. Reports of 13.5 and even a 14 have been out there.  Walleyes are not cooking yet hopefully our winds today will start things for us.  Muskies have been a bit predictable moving from 11-12 each day we have been out.  Small windows of movement are what is happening.  Pike have showed up and we are also doing well on evening crappie and bluegill.  Should be a good weekend to fish!

Leech Lake Guide Service Report9/19/11
Perch have started biting excellent. We were able to keep 80 yesterday with the biggest at 11".  Walleyes remain average we are waiting for a good fall bite to begin.  Fish are on jig/minnow however yesterday we caught them on crawlers as well.  Muskies are day to day with activity at moonset. Friday saw us catch  one and lost one along with some real nice pike. From here on fishing should be pretty good.  Bass are wild with big fish coming in over the weekend in the tournament.  Get to leech!
Just had a cancellation for this saturday 24th. day is now available

Leech Lake area fishing report 9/9/11
Muskies have been fairly good with spurts of real activity on the rocks and also the weeds.  Bass remain good as always
Walleyes  this week have been day to day with fish being caught on bottombouncer along with jig/minnow .  Perch are very spotty with good reports and very poor reports as well.  This will change for sure soon enough.  We caught fish on bottom bouncers and also did decent on pike as well.  Looking forward to increased walleye bite during the day soon.
Leech Lake Fishing report 8/31/11
Found walleyes 5-11 feet on crawlers, some fish extremely shallow, I refuse to fish the deep humps in walker bay as there are many fish being killed from being caught too deep in the water. they are showing up  floating in the bay and on shorelines. Thusly we may have caught a few less but they were released alive and well.  Fished with longtime clients Dave and Barb with Barb getting big fish honors with a 24" walleye and also big perch honors as well.  Muskie action remains fairly good mostly on the rocks.  Bass remain consistent on the lake.  Jumbo Perch are starting to show up but it is still early.

Leech Lake Fishing report 8/29/11
Muskies remain day to day  with moonset for us being key.  Walleyes being caught on the deep humps in walker bay, bottom bouncing on the big lake and night fishing remains good.  Bass are fantastic, many fish available.  Panfish and perch showing up as well.

Latest Hot report from the water..8/26/11
MUSKIES have been showing up with us boating 7 earlier this week! No pike action to speak of currently however you do get some while muskie fishing . WALLEYES are biting a little on bottom bouncers and spinners rigged with nightcrawlers.      PERCH are showing up but not the jumbos in numbers yet. Lets hope for a repeat of last year which was incredible! BASS continue to be a no brainer catching many fish , Leech is always awesome.  GET OUT AND FISH!!!!
